Having learnt in a Yeshiva in his youth and being the great grandson of Rabbi Levi Yitzchok of Berditchev, Frenel was no stranger to the mystical world of Judaism. Fascinating interpretations of Biblical stories as well as insightful impressions of Judaic traditions are the subject of many of his paintings.
